THE CARIBBEAN TIGRESS LIVEABOARD
Tech-Equipped, Luxury Liveaboard and
The Caribbean Tigress is not your standard liveaboard vessel. She was originally built and designed for personal, private cruising and has been finished throughout with a lush dark teak timber. Since being refitted for dive trips both recreational and tech involved, she is strong, steady and boasts comfortable sleeping arrangements for a maximum of eight guests across three cabins. A large leather lounge makes a perfect atmosphere for relaxing and watching the days' dives across various media, or just kicking back and watching a movie from our library.
Eat breakfast, lunch and dinner on our 40-foot fly bridge prepared by our on board chef. Enjoy the sea breeze during your surface interval or while watching the stars with a barbecue feast and a cold beer. There is no nicer place to be while cruising the beautiful islands and waters of the Philippines.
EXPLORATION PROJECTS AND RESEARCH
The Caribbean Tigress is equipped to handle everything from recreational diving to tech and re-breather trips. From dropping GUE divers 127 meters deep on the Princess of the Orient to finding two WWII planes in the Palawan region within the last two years, rediscovering the past on the ocean floor is what we're passionate about.
Our liveaboard has been involved in scanning and discovery operations all around the Philippines. We use top-of-the-line side scanning technology to pin-point long lost wrecks with the hopes of potentially being the first divers to ever view these pieces of history. We open up our doors to the Tigress and let you join in on these exploration trips. Be there with us to discover the unknown!
Sea Scan Survey is based in Australia and have been working the waters of the Philippines for the past 20 years involved in geographical surveys and successful wreck searches.
The vessel MV Caribbean Tigress is equipped for all of the above and now fitted with the latest state of the art Edgetech 4125 Dual Frequency Side Scan Sonar that delivers quality imaging of the ocean sea bed and whatever may be sitting on it.
The 4125 utilizes EdgeTech’s Full Spectrum® CHIRP technology, which provides higher resolution imagery at ranges up to 50% greater than non-CHIRP systems operating at the same frequency. This translates into more accurate results and faster surveys, thus cutting down on costs. Two dual simultaneous frequency sets are available for the 4125 depending on the application.
